Wilma

Meet Wilma, a sweet one year old girl who is available for adoption. When Wilma first came into rescue, she was very timid, but she has made lovely progress and continues to gain confidence every day. She will happily accept gentle pets, though she may lower her head when approached or tuck her face into a nearby bed when she’s feeling shy.

Wilma would thrive in a quieter home with someone patient who can give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. She absolutely loves other dogs, both big and small, and does well with the cats she’s met.

Wilma enjoys her chewies and, every now and then, you’ll catch her playing with a squeaky toy. She is very food motivated, house trained, and kennel trained.

Wilma is a tripod following a car accident in which her pelvis was broken and one leg was too badly damaged to repair, requiring amputation. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains gentle and loving. Wilma also had three puppies, who were transferred to another rescue.

Wilma is ready for a calm, compassionate home where she can continue to blossom
