Gus

Meet Gus, a 3 year old Chiweenie. This handsome boy has come such a long way, and we couldn’t be more proud of him.

When Gus first arrived, we were told he had spent much of his life confined to a kennel and had experienced neglect. Simple things we take for granted, like walking on tile or linoleum, were absolutely terrifying for him. He would scramble as fast as he could to find carpet, or walk backwards just to feel safe.

With time, patience, and love, Gus has started to discover the world around him. He’s learning that not everything is scary, and each day he grows a little more confident. Watching him figure things out and trust again has been incredibly special.

Gus is a gentle soul who needs someone willing to go at his pace. He thrives with kindness, reassurance, and a safe space to call his own. The progress he’s made already shows just how much potential he has to become an amazing companion.

He’s not just looking for a home, he’s looking for someone who will continue to show him that life can be good.. Gus gets along with cats and will tolerate other dogs and loves to go for walks!

Gus would prefer to be the only dog.
