Hi. I’m Trace. I’m an 8 month old professional cuddler, part time squirrel detective, full time good boy.

I’ve been told I should write my own adoption ad because apparently “people need to know what they’re getting into.” Fair enough.

First of all, I am AMAZING on leash. I walk very nicely… unless I spot a dog, person, squirrel, rabbit, leaf blowing suspiciously in the wind, or literally anyone I’d like to meet. Then I may dramatically lie down on the sidewalk to prepare for my grand introduction. I believe every walk should include social networking opportunities.

I only pull a little when excited, which honestly feels pretty reasonable considering squirrels clearly cannot be trusted.

At home, I’m the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. I still get the occasional zoomies because life is exciting, but I also believe couches were invented specifically for snuggling. Personal space? Never heard of it. If you sit down, congratulations, you now own a Trace blanket.

I’m fully house trained and crate trained because I am a sophisticated gentleman. I have the appetite of a lab, the dramatic stalking moves of a border collie, and the softest coat for maximum cuddle efficiency. I take treats gently, I love being around people, and I’m always ready to supervise whatever you’re doing.

I’m a fantastic size, love people, love dogs, and would make an amazing family dog. The only thing I’m still working on is cats. I find them very exciting and apparently launching myself toward them with enthusiasm is frowned upon. So I’m looking for a cat free home where I can focus my energy on more important things… like snacks, cuddles, and monitoring the neighborhood for suspicious squirrel activity.

Basically, if you’re looking for a goofy, loving, slightly dramatic best friend with zero understanding of personal boundaries, I’m your guy.
