Duchess

Sweet Duchess is a beautiful 2–3 year old Shepherd mix who is looking for something very special… a quiet, patient and understanding home where she can feel safe and just be herself.

Duchess loves people, especially those with a calm and gentle demeanour. She is also good with both dogs and cats.

But Duchess is a sensitive girl. Unexpected noises and busy, noisy environments can make her very nervous. She also cannot be walked on a leash, so she must have a fully fenced yard where she can safely get her exercise and enjoy some freedom.

For Duchess, we believe a quiet home with no other dogs, preferably, would be best. She needs someone who will understand that trust may take time and who will never rush her. Someone willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace and show her that the world can be a safe and loving place.

Behind that nervousness is a sweet girl who simply needs someone willing to see the wonderful dog she can become when she feels safe
