Cinnamon

When little Cinnamon came into our care, she was badly matted, unspayed and had a mammary tumour that needed to be removed. And look at her now!

Cinnamon is an 11 year old Maltese/Poodle mix who has been groomed, spayed and had her mammary mass removed. She still requires a dental, which will be covered by the rescue, so her new family will not be responsible for that expense.

Cinnamon is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can be somebody’s little companion. She wants to be close to her person, a lot. She will cry and whine when she wants attention, but when she’s being carried, eating or curled up sleeping, she’s perfectly content.

We think Cinnamon’s dream home might be with an older person or someone who is home most of the time and would genuinely enjoy having a little shadow following them through life. She isn’t the kind of dog who wants to be left to entertain herself for hours. She wants you.

She does walk nicely on a leash once she has had time to know and trust you. Cinnamon also shivers quite a bit. We aren’t completely sure yet whether that’s because she’s cold, nervous, or simply part of who she is, so her new family will need to be patient and attentive to her.

At 11 years old, Cinnamon isn’t asking for adventures or a busy household. She’s looking for comfort, security and someone she can count on.

We’re looking for her someone with a quiet lap, gentle hands, plenty of time and enough love for a little senior girl who would happily spend the rest of her life right beside them.
